Arrival Details

The official start of the reunion is Friday, June 24, 2022. The reunion hotel is the beautiful Hilton Bayfront San Diego (yes, there IS a pool for the kids). There will be a reunion check-in station and a place to store belongings if you arrive before your room is ready.

We will set up a few easy-to-reach sightseeing options as the hotel is five minutes from downtown and fifteen minutes from the beach.

First night activities will be at the hotel so you can get back, shower, and settle in for some great food and fellowship with family!

Thursday Night: Hosted Happy Hour

Relax on our rooftop deck

We want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable. So if you’ve traveled from far away and are looking for something low key, Omar and Erin will open their home for a relaxed happy hour with drinks and snacks. This is the evening before the reunion officially gets started, Thursday, June 23rd. Enjoy the rooftop deck, a little relaxation by the pool, and just let the stress of a travel day melt away. There are plenty of dinner destinations within a 5 minute walk and it’s less than a ten-minute drive to the reunion hotel. We’ll make it nice and easy to enjoy your evening if you decide to arrive a night early.

Optional: Thursday night sunset dinner cruise (paid separately)

For those coming in early, we’ll be setting up an optional Thursday night cruise on the harbor. You purchase your tickets on your own and it just offers an easy way to see San Diego from an interesting vantage point at a beautiful time of day. As we get closer, you’ll be able to click the link below to sign up and reserve your seat ahead of time! It will be a two-hour sunset cruise in the San Diego harbor, dinner and drinks included.

Day 1: Arrival and Water Front Park Get Together

San Diego’s Waterfront Park

Travel days are almost always a mix of excitement and a little bit of stress. So we’ve arranged a space for a welcome to enjoy the mild climate, relax in a beautiful setting, have some light snacks, get your welcome packets, and just spend some time reconnecting at San Diego Waterfront Park. We have space reserved from Noon until after sunset. There will be a shuttle to transport people from the reunion hotel to the park and then back again. The location is a five minute walk from the Portside Pier restaurants and a ten minute walk from San Diego’s Little Italy district for evening options. We are also exploring getting more hearty food brought from an award-winning local Mexican restaurant. Details on this coming soon!

Day 2: World Famous San Diego Zoo & Celebration Luncheon

Get ready for fun at the Zoo!

We will hop on the reunion shuttles and get transported to the nearby, world famous San Diego Zoo! The family will be able to walk around and enjoy the exotic animals, the beautiful landscape and the adventure of one of the most renowned animal exhibits in the country.

Day 2: Celebration Luncheon

Site of our 50th Anniversary Celebration Luncheon

We have reserved this beautiful space to come together to celebrate, to remember, and to enjoy our time over a great meal in the “treeptop” exclusive room within the Zoo. After the celebration luncheon, you can explore more of the Zoo or even drift around for advanced scouting in the nearby crown jewel of San Diego – Balboa Park!

Day 2: San Diego Foster Fourte Amazing Race & Picnic

The second day of the reunion will have fun and family as well as opportunities on your own. After our time at the Zoo, join in for the first ever Foster Fourte Amazing Race – a customized scavenger hunt in Balboa Park! there will be fun, clues, family history, competition…and even some prizes. There will be a special Amazing Race page and sign-up once we make sure we know everyone who is coming. This will be a unique experience that brings family together and who knows, you might even decide to audition for the real thing!

Optional: Beach Trip and Shopping Day in La Jolla

We know that San Diego has some of the most beautiful and easily accessible beaches on the west coast. If fun in the sun is your thing, we’ll provide some easy tips to let you head to La Jolla Shores, a classic beach in San Diego, for rest, games, fun in the water, and enjoying good company. For those who aren’t big fans of the water, we will be sure to help you navigate to the nearby shopping in the heart of La Jolla.

Day 3: Prayer Breakfast, Awards and More fun!

Feast & Fareway – Special location for our Prayer Breakfast

An important part of every reunion is the time spent in fellowship and reflection. We’ll have breakfast together at a venue on beautiful Coronado – you can see the bridge in the photo – and an opportunity for fellowship and giving thanks for all of our blessings!

The final breakfast is included in your reunion assessment/dues and will be a hot buffet style breakfast of eggs, various meats, pancakes, coffee, juice, etc.

Reunion Assessment/Dues & T-Shirts can be paid for on the Shop page.
